3 Overrated goals

Let us take a moment and mention three goals that I consider to be overrated and overhyped.

Michael Owen v Argentina - 1998
He showed blistering pace, he was only 18 years old, but nonetheless Michael Owen's goal v the Argies in France '98 is overrated. A good goal, but a 'truly' great one? He takes it past TWO Argentinian defenders. The second defender Ayala, simply backs off in fear of being outpaced with no attempt to win the ball.

Roberto Carlos v France - 1998
If you believe that Roberto Carlos actually meant to swerve the ball as much as he did, then you are an idiot. Yes, he went for swerve, but seriously, that much? Besides, as hard as he could hit them and contrary to belief, Roberto Carlos was actually quite rubbish at free kicks.

Carlos Alberto v Italy - 1970
3-1 up, searing Mexican heat, 120 minutes on the clock. The Italians were knackered, well beaten and hardly made an effort to get the ball back. It was virtually a training goal. Overrated.
